Kelly Receives Help for her Unplanned Pregnancy
“Kelly” first heard of ECFA’s Pregnancy Support Services program
from a friend who had been a PSS client. She began working
with her pregnancy counselor, Krista, several months ago
because she was unexpectantly pregnant with her third child.
Kelly is aware that she has some relationship difficulties
and sincerely desires to work on making changes in her
life for the good of her children as well as for herself.
Krista says that Kelly has faith in God and that she did not view abortion as an option for her. She believes that life is a miracle even though she did not plan, or want, to become pregnant. Kelly is a good mom and loves her children very much. Krista was able to offer her supportive, professional counseling for almost a year. The PSS program provided Kelly with tangible items such as diapers, baby wipes, infant clothes, and an assortment of baby books. Fortunately, Kelly has the continued support of her mother, grandfather, the baby’s father, and from a neighborhood community organization.
Kelly’s little guy is healthy, laughs easily, and is developing normally. He loves interacting with people and is a real joy to others. Krista describes Kelly as being a sweet, kind, and very grateful person. She is a good mom who is creative and makes life fun for her kids. She values relationships, is self-motivated to make positive changes, and communicates easily with others. She works in the field of human services and enjoys helping people.
We count it a real privilege to come alongside young women such as Kelly who need love, support, and direction in difficult situations.
