A Baby Sister Through Adoption
One
of our ECFA couples had been waiting for three years for
their second adopted child. Their first child is a little
guy who really wanted a baby sister. The couple was introduced
to a pregnancy client who expressed interest in making
an adoption plan with them. She was involved in a very
difficult family situation and was in the late stages of
her pregnancy.
The adoptive parents actually were able to meet with the biological mother a couple of times before she gave birth to a beautiful and healthy little girl. She felt very comfortable with them and was convinced that they would be the right family for her baby. After the placement, the adoptive family was open to exchanging pictures and letters with the birth mom. They plan to meet together soon to share in the joy of this little girl’s life.
The adoptive parents’ preschool age son is a great big brother. He adores his little sister and enjoys trying to get her to smile and giggle. The baby is very alert, likes attention, and is a very content child. Our Adoption Program Supervisor, Cristina, relates that the dad is a caring and involved father. The adoptive mother loves being a mom and is by nature a warm and nurturing person.
Cristina says that this new little one has made her adoptive family very happy. The adoptive parents feel wonderfully blessed to have her and hope to adopt another child in the future. We so appreciate your partnership with us in bringing joy to longing adoptive parents and needy children.
