Annual Benefit Auction

Last Fall, a wonderful evening was enjoyed by those who gathered for our Annual Benefit Auction held at the Abbington in Glen Ellyn. More than two hundred guests browsed the bountiful and varied items displayed for bidding and purchase. The mellow sounds of the piano playing jazz, show tunes, classical, and sacred songs filled the room as our patrons sipped their warm cinnamon cider. A delicious four-course dinner was served, with a variety of cheesecakes for dessert. Following the silent auction and dinner, Greg Parker, our auctioneer and adoptive dad, led our live auction in his usual professional manner. We raised more than $30,500 at the event with a special spot auction that raised nearly $15,000 for our new Safe Families program.
