2024 Spring - True To Life: A Warm Welcome to New Staff

Megan Flaming joined the adoption team as an intern on January 16th. She is a student at Wheaton College and will be graduating this coming May. Megan is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Social Work. In addition to school and her internship, she provides child care for a local family. Megan is originally from California and is planning to return there following the completion of her degree. We are so pleased to have Megan here.

Jackie Jakacki is interning in both our Adoption and Pregnancy Support Services programs. She is currently enrolled at Indiana Wesleyan University pursuing her Master’s in Social Work. Jackie, and her husband Wes, are ECFA adoptive parents. Jackie is on staff at Replanted, a ministry that provides support for adoptive and foster families. Our families will benefit greatly from the lived experience and compassion Jackie is bringing to her internship. We are so fortunate to welcome Jackie as she pursues her educational goals.

Karolyn Wooburne joined staff on February 21st and will serve the Intact Family Services (IFS) program as a Family Enhancement Worker. In this role she will be providing our case managers needed support which will include home visits, calls to service providers, filing, and many other tasks. Concurrently, she will be doing an internship to complete the requirements to achieve her Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University. We are so happy to welcome Karolyn to the IFS team.
