Development Associate

Basic Function: Performs and assists with development duties, including planning, coordinating, and implementing effective Agency  fundraising efforts, as well as planning and creating social media content and distribution, under the supervision of the Director of Operations.


Essential Functions:

 

  •  Assists with the development, execution, coordination, and evaluation of special events according to established guidelines

  • Assists with the establishment of event budgets and maintains files, records, database, media contact list, annual events calendar, and procedure manual. Prepares written and oral reports as requested

  • Uses web-based tools to create informational and promotional materials for posting and distribution via digital platforms

  • Maintains Agency website, updating services, generating client impact stories, creating special event webpages, and event registration forms

  • In coordination with the Director of Operations, identifies and contacts current and potential churches, donors, businesses, and foundations to promote special events

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the procurement of prizes, items, and sponsors for Agency activities/events. Deals with various vendors, media, volunteers, and suppliers

  • May represent the Agency to public and private groups

​

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred

  • Basic knowledge of Word processing applications

  • Experience creating and posting digital content (preferably on Facebook and Instagram)

  • Experience with website maintenance preferred

  • Experience in event planning

  • Minimum 1-year experience in related field or equivalent

  • Good oral/written communication skills

  • Valid Illinois driver’s license and auto insurance are required

  • Agrees with and signs ECFA's Statement of Faith

  • Active involvement in an evangelical Christian congregation
