Director of Professional Services
Duties include developing and administering Agency-wide social services in the areas of domestic and international adoption, pregnancy support services, intact family services, and individual and family counseling, under the supervision of the Executive Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Administers Agency-wide social services.

Helps ensure the effectiveness of all social services in benefiting clients.

Coordinates the evaluation of all social services and recommends/implements modifications as appropriate.

Coordinates Agency Performance and Quality Improvement efforts as the Chairperson of the PQI Committee.

Coordinates safety and risk management activities.
-
Provides leadership to the Agency staff development efforts.

Coordinates the Agency’s ongoing accreditation efforts.

Works with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop annual and long range plans that address Agency services and key support functions.
Working Relationships:
-
Establishes and maintains relationships with high level administrative and professional persons in the social service field.

Provides supervision to staff responsible for leading programs.

Serves as a member of the Agency’s Administrative Team.

Advises the Executive Director and Board of Directors on policy matters, physical resources and financial resources.

Consults with professional staff on client-related issues and other situations.

Participates on the Social Service Committee, and contributes to other Board committees as requested.
Additional Responsibilities:

Participates in interpreting the Agency vision, mission, and services to the community and other evangelical organizations.

Advocates for the implementation of professional standards in Agency program operations.

Develops and monitors all subcontracts and agreements for social service programs.

Annually prepares the Agency operations report as an overview of Agency activities.

Performs other duties as may be delegated, including administrative responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master’s Degree in social work from an accredited institution is required.

At lease five years of related professional experience is required, including three years supervisory or administrative experience.

The State of Illinois LSW certification is required. LCSW certification is preferred.

Excellent communication skills are required.

Basic knowledge of word processing and other computer applications is essential.
